Josette A. Cohen is a 20 year educator who began her teaching career in the Milwaukee Public School District in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Josette moved to Racine, Wisconsin in 1996 and worked for The Racine Unified School District as a Special Education teacher. Josette moved to Orlando, Florida in 2016 and was hired at West Oaks Academy and became the middle school English teacher. Josette graduated from Concordia University with a BA in Management and Communications in April of 2006. In May of 2008, Josette received her Master’s Degree in Education from Rockford College in Rockford, IL. Throughout the years, Josette has received several awards for her work in education.
Josette is a dedicated teacher that believes that ALL students can learn when they are accepted for who they are and where they are in their educational journey. She also believes that effective learning requires a collaboration between teacher, students and parents grounded in a mutual respect and trust.

I have been teaching for 12 Years. A 1993 graduate of Florida Memorial University in Miami FL with a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration. Born and raised in Florida. Currently teaching 7th and 8th grade History. I am proud to be part of this most challenging and rewarding profession.
