What is Colleague AI? Colleague AI is a personalized educational platform that helps teachers deliver instruction tailored to each student's academic needs while maintaining alignment with Florida standards.

Will students still learn reading and math fundamentals? Yes. In fact, foundational reading and mathematics skills remain at the heart of our instructional model.

What if my child is ahead academically? Students demonstrating mastery can receive enrichment opportunities and move into more advanced content when appropriate.

Why is West Oaks making this change? Education continues to evolve, and students learn at different rates. This model allows us to preserve strong academic foundations while providing more individualized learning opportunities.

Is this replacing teachers? Absolutely not. Teachers remain the center of instruction. Colleague AI serves as a support tool that helps teachers better understand and meet student needs.

Will expectations be lower? No. Expectations remain high for every student. The difference is that students may take different paths toward reaching the same standards.

Does this follow Florida standards? Yes. All academic instruction remains aligned with approved Florida CPALMS standards and learning expectations.

How will I know how my child is doing? Parents will receive clearer information regarding: Academic growth Skill mastery Areas of strength Areas needing improvement

What if my child is behind academically? The new model allows teachers to identify learning gaps sooner and provide more targeted support.
